PASSING THROUGH — After retiring in March, John McComsey of Henry said he is finally seeing his three-year plan moving forward. McComsey headed out of his hometown Wednesday on his wagon with his two mules, Mack and Jack. He is headed to Phoenix to visit his sister. McComsey said Thursday he had nothing better to do and was looking forward to his adventure. He passed through Weakley County on Thursday before stopping overnight in Union City. Carrying his Blue Tick Heeler, Britt, and a wagon loaded with a mattress and supplies, McComsey estimated his trip will take at least three months.
