The Messenger, May 9, 2012 Two people were arrested on drug-related charges and other alleged offenses after the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department’s criminal investigation division executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home on Chestnut Glade Road near South Fulton. Arrested were Scotty Hopper, 40, and Amy Jett, 36, both of 3364 Chestnut Glade Road. They were charged with aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000, manufacture of methamphetamine and possession of meth with intent to resale, according to Weakley County Sheriff’s Department investigator Randall McGowan. The search warrant was served at their residence, where officers were looking for items reported stolen from a previous residential burglary and theft. Items reported stolen April 29 from 3368 Chestnut Glade Road were recovered from the residence. They included tools, fishing equipment and jewelry, the sheriff’s department reported. While conducting the search, investigators allegedly uncovered an active meth lab inside the house. A response truck from the Tennessee Meth Task Force was called to the scene to remove the lab and the house is being quarantined. This is the seventh meth lab cleaned up this year by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department, McGowan added.
